Gabriela Hernandez, PTA
Born and raised in Chihuahua, Gaby came to El Paso in 2015 to pursue kinesiology at UTEP. Upon graduation, she started working as a technician at a clinic, & applied to the PTA program at Western Tech.
Gaby knew from a young age that she wanted to do physical therapy because of a non-profit organization in Chihuahua that provides free physical therapy services to children. They host a livestream once every year, and she watched it as a kid. "It amazed me how the body can relearn proper exercises through range of motion, mobility, and strength and how it changes the life of a person who thought they wouldn't walk again or, as a child, play with other kids." Gaby has always been active and enjoys exercising, hiking, and running. She likes to move, which motivates her to strive for a better quality of life and independence. She emphasizes this with her patients, family & friends - the importance of movement. Associates Degree: AAS Physical Therapy Assistant - Western Technical College Bachelor’s Degree: Kinesiology, Minor in Biology - University of Texas as El Paso |
